What is Meedtube+?
Meedtube+ is an independent Android TV viewing application with remote-friendly browsing and configurable playback. It is not the official YouTube application.
Which devices are supported?
Android TV, Google TV and compatible TV boxes using ARM64 or 32-bit ARM. Hardware decoding and picture-in-picture availability vary by device.
Why do I need to scan the QR code?
The first-run QR opens your quick-start guide and confirms setup to your TV. Open the unique link on your phone; the TV continues automatically after confirmation.
Does the QR code contain personal information?
It contains a temporary random public setup token, not your account, phone number, location, device serial number or the TV polling credential. Standard web-server logs may contain request information.
Can I open the guide again?
Yes. On your TV, open Settings → Help & Support → Getting Started. This does not reset setup. You can also visit the Guide from this website.
How do I change video quality?
During playback, press OK to reveal controls, select Quality and choose an available format. The choices depend on the video and device.
How do I enable subtitles?
Open player controls, select Subtitles and choose an available language. Caption availability depends on the video. Subtitle appearance can be adjusted in Settings.
Where can I download Meedtube+?
Use the Download page. It shows only builds that have been configured for download. Allow installation only for the installer you use, then turn that permission off afterward.
What if the QR code expires?
Pending setup links last 15 minutes. Keep the welcome page open; it requests a replacement automatically. Scan the newest code on the TV.
What if setup cannot connect?
Check your TV internet connection and select Retry. If the service is unavailable, wait and retry. Android Home still works; setup resumes when you reopen the app.
Can I personalize the player?
Yes. Open Settings → Player to explore speed, quality and playback preferences, or Settings → Subtitles for caption options.
Does picture-in-picture work everywhere?
No. It requires a compatible device and Android version, and some TV manufacturers disable it. Check the available player settings on your device.
